Before we met JD here in Oklahoma, we decided to take a little 15 hour detour to Idaho and visit family for a couple of weeks. I haven't been to Idaho Falls for the 4th of July since Jace was 3 months old! It was definitely time. Nothing can compare to the 4th of July there. Seriously it's like IF's one claim to fame! Haha, ohhh.... it was good to be back.
My Dad always has a little firework show of his own a few days before the 4th. This year we just lit them off in our driveway. This guy literally has enough fireworks in the attic to last him 10 years, it's crazy!
The cleanup crew afterwards.... I promise everything that Lewis lights off is ALWAYS perfectly legal ;)

Sparklers! Look at Dad with his blowtorch... I'm not kidding you, this man is no joke!

Some of the kiddies weren't quite sure what to think of the sparklers!

Soooo..... the morning of the 4th of July was the annual parade. I've always loved to watch the parade and was so excited to get to do so this year. Well my Brother in Law has a float in the parade for his Chiropractic office. He more or less told me that I was going to be in the parade too! He's also actually a dealer for these sweet little things called "Kangoo Jumps." I own a pair so he asked me to follow his float and do a routine with my youngest sister and some of her friends. Oh fine, no big deal right?! I did however get made fun of by my own flesh and blood, Lachelle. How dare she! Here are some of the pics from that morning......

My bombshell sister and her cute little "Incredible" family. Are they not the cutest bunch?!

My little sis and me and the rest of the Kangoo crew!

Lana and me. I need to mention here that it was 48 degrees and windy that morning. It was COLD!! Only in Idaho... thankfully we were moving around and it warmed us up. It ended up being a nice 70 degree day.

Ok, here's my little plug for my brother in law Aaron. If you are interested in a pair of these shoes leave me a comment. They're called "Kangoo Jumps." I love running in them. They're low impact and are great for those who suffer from shin splints, bad knees, etc. Such a good work out too! Even if I look like a dork, I'm over it! Call me a freak, whatever.

The kids and some of their cousins after watching the parade, all hyped up on sugar ;)

Oh yeah, how could I forget to mention...... even the Kardashian sisters run in these! That's gotta give me some cool points right?! lol

Onto the Melalueca Freedom Celebration.......... the 2nd biggest firework show in the NATION! No joke, google it. My Dad has worked for Melaleuca for over 20 years so he always gets a front row seat and rents out a hotel for us to watch them as well. This year I unfortunately had to settle for watching them on the hotel balcony since we arrived there just in the nick of time and I looked like crap from 4wheeling with the Meacham's all day (which was a blast!)

Here's the Rasmussen bunch that watched them outside on the river. Such a lovely crowd!

FREEEEEEEAK!!! Ha ha! And don't worry, if I ever see the Kardashians running in their Kangoo Jumps around here, I'll call them freaks too. So they don't feel left out, of course ;)
Gotta give props to you guys for jumping in the parade in 40 degree weather. Boo Idaho weather! And I don't know if I approve of all the girls' shorts. They are looking pretty skanky. Ha ha!
Gotta love dad's firework shows! Second biggest show West of the Mississippi :) And Mark is always talking about dad's blow torch and how awesome it is!
Glad that you guys were able to be in IF for the 4th!! The fireworks are amazing! After seeing El Paso's that one year...I'll forever treasure IF's fireworks!
HA HA! I love the parade pics! I can't believe you did that, you couldn't have paid me enough :) I'm sad that I wasn't in IF for the 4th, looks like you had a blast! Hope OKC is treating you well!
I'm so glad you decided to make a 15 hour detour to Idaho Falls for the 4th! It was fun to have you back to be there with us! And unlike your other friends, I didn't think you looked like a freak. haha :)
