The end of January JD and I went on a Northstar retreat to Heber City. We stayed in a cabin and enjoyed lots of food and fun. It was nice to meet new people and get to know others better. We went snowmobiling and sledding and just enjoyed the few days of snow! My little sis Laurel was able to come to AZ and watch the kiddies for us. I think she was a little nervous about this but she did AWESOME. I texted her and asked how it was going and she replied, "SO good!" I was like, "really??" She said, "yes, really!" Wow, she's hired! Thanks Laurel, it's nice knowing they are in good hands!

The Girls at the cabin

The Boys, studly aren't they?!
RANDOMS....
Avery just being Avery!
Jace started soccer last month and he was so excited about his new cleats and shin guards. He couldn't wait for his very first game! A few days before his game I went into his room and found this........

So funny he laid out his clothes for the big game!

Brody was so tired after church one day that he fell alseep mid lunch! Sweet little guy.

Our Friday night tradition! Popcorn and movie on the pull out bed. Which is about as comfortable as a rock. The kids love this though. Avery asks every night leading up to Friday, "Can we sleep out on the pull out bed mammama!" Only on Friday nights, what a treat!

My Dad was in town on business and was able to stay an extra day and hang out! JD and I were able to attend his Melaleuca meeting the night before. Wow, Dad you really are one of a kind! No wonder you have such great turn outs!

The kids love Grandpa Lewis and think he is "fetching awesome!" Wish you coulda stayed longer Dad, we love you!

Valentine date with our good friends. Extreme bowling!! Lots of fun.

A little update on the kids...
Jace is still enjoying Kindergarten. I am amazed at what he is learning. He can read and do all sorts of things that I couldn't at his age. I can't believe how much they are teaching him so early on. He LOVES his teacher. She is the best and I feel so lucky that he got her this year. A funny story about Jace....
After school the kids stand out in front of the building with this other Kindergarten teacher (not his own) until the parents come to pick them up. She is young and very cute. JD and I have this single friend of ours that I wanted to set her up with. I knew she wasn't married but didn't know if she had a boyfriend or not. I casually asked Jace to ask her if she had one. The next day he got in the car and said, "Nope she doesn't have a boyfriend mom." I laughed and asked him what he said to her. He told me that he went up to her and said, " This is gonna sound kinda weird.... but I have a question to ask you. Do you have a boyfriend cuz my mom knows this guy and wants to set you up!" She just started laughing and said, "No." Haha! I talked to her the next day and asked her about it. She told me that it was the funniest thing and that he worded it exactly as he told me! I volunteer in his classroom every now and then and his teacher came up to me and told me she heard about this and that ALL of the teachers got quite a kick out of it! She said that he cracks her up and having a conversation with him is like having one with a 40 yr. old. He is truly so funny! I love that kid!
Avery is a character too. I would love to see inside her brain. She is such a crack up. I wish I had the imagination that she does. Everything is princesses and babies and dress up, basically she is ALL girl! I catch her singing or having a conversation with herself while looking in the mirror. She is still loving her dance class. Her dance teacher pulled me aside last month and told me that we have a little dancer on our hands. She said that Avery has so much potential to be a ballet, contemp, jazz dancer. She said that Avery goes right up to her tip toes and can "pop it!" After she told me this I said I was going to cry! I was so proud, I can't wait to go to all her perfomances and be her biggest fan.
Brody is our little tape recorder. He repeats virtually everything that is said. It's not all good either! He's such a little monkey, climbing on everything! Drives his momma crazy. I can't believe he will be 2 in May. Time has flown by with this one. Is he really my baby? This has been the longest time span between children that I haven't been pregnant with the next child. Crazy!! I am enjoying it though ;)
Well, there you have it!! Our last month in a nutshell, hope you are all doing well! xoxoxo

You are such a good mommy. I loved the story about Jace and his teacher, he is a crack up and definitely talks like he's way older! Heber was so fun, and yes i agree those boys are studly, especially mine!! Hehe :)
I like all the random pictures, my favs are the one of Brody crashed out on the table, so cute, and Jace's clothes on the floor and all the kids having their popcorn!!
Very cute pictures.
YAY! A freakin update, finally!! I checked your blog probably like 5 times a day. Oh, and I figured out it's your internet connection that is slow, and thus your pictures are taking forever to upload. Once we switched our internet, I can upload my pics in a jiffy. It used to take me forever! So check into that....cuz I can't go another month without another Meacham Madness post!
Let's get started:
Seriously, you're just NOW posting Heber pics? Ha ha. Glad you guys had fun in the cold. Ya look cold. You're not used to the snow, are ya? Rookie.
I seriously probably peed my pants when I saw Jace's soccer outfit he laid out. I especially love the soccer ball for the head! Ha ha!!
Love Avery's "Fire-marshall Bill." Always puts a smile on my face!
Glad that you had fun with dad!! Lucky! We went to one of his meetings in December...and he seriously could sell a garbage can to a homeless man! He's THAT good!
(Oh, and was Brody the photographer for you and dad?? Cuz he appears to be holding a camera. Smart little boy!)
Poor Brody sleeping at the table. I guess nursery really drains it out of the youngins!
Love the Friday night hide-a-bed tradition. Wonder where you got that idea from....hmmmm.... Ahhhh, the good old days! To be young again!
I was dying of laughter when I read about Jace asking that teacher if she was single! I can totally picture it now! That kid is one funny little boy! I bet all the teachers just love him!
And you better remember to take a video of Avery when she has her dance recital!! Cuz I'm dying to see her dance! I bet she is so cute!!!!!
Love the post! Can't remember the last time I went bowling. I'm jealous. Ok, update again soon! Love ya sis!!
Oh, and I was laughing when you said that Avery was saying she heard my voice in the videos and wanted to see me. Tell her I'll make a video just for her :)
K, my first official post ever. My apologies to my fans for looking like the biggest tool ever in the photo above. I know I aint the best lookin dude in the bowling alley but i expect more out of myself. Sorry peeps. All future photos will be audited.
JD, it's not called a "post" it's called a "comment!" So yes, this is your first official comment! And you can't start auditing pics until you actually contribute to out blog! And you definitely WERE the hottest one in that bowling alley... hell I dare say the hottest man in AZ!! HOlla!
I love how Jace asked his teacher if she had a boyfriend. haha. Don't worry, I am always behind on blogging too. You guys will have to take a little trip to Vegas to come see us since we won't be too far now!
Loved the post and all of your updates!
Ask me to come babysit anytime, and I'd be glad to! Too bad I live in Logan though, huh?! Can't wait till May though, so excited!
Jace cracks me up, he is the sweetest kid ever. Wish him good luck at soccer games for me!
Avery is hilarious! I can totally picture her singing and talking to herself while looking in a mirror. Total diva! And those pictures of her and brody all dressed up makes me laugh. How does she come up with all these posses?!
And Brody is such a sweetheart. Always smiling and laughing, what a cute kid!
And I'm way jealous you got to go to a Suns/Mavs game! I think I watched that game on the tv.. but that's why I need to move to AZ. I miss out on all the important sporting events, concerts, and warm weather!
K, the second Jared comment was from me! duh!
Love the updates! And I love that picture of Brody asleep on the kitchen table. Sometimes that's how I feel after church too...
#1 The soccer outfit! Love it! I can't believe Jace put that out! Love that little guy...and "this is going to sound kind of weird.." I can picture his face! So cute. Damon is playing soccer starting in April. Maybe we'll pack his shin guards and cleats and the boys can race around.
#2 Avery is such a doll. How are the lip glosses doing? Are there any left at this point!?!
#3 Love Brodster! I can't believe they are going to be 2! Love the pic with him on the counter and you and your dad the best! typical!
Can't wait to see you and love your posts! The monkeys will keep our hands full!
your comments are killing me! Tell JD he's hot shez even at the bowling alley!
And I love the snow pictures! hotties.
I luv your kids :) Brody asleep on the table - little sweetheart. And Avery's the best just all around, that girl has a BIG personality lol! She's adorable, from the silly pics to Brody in a tutu, that girl will keep you on your toes forever! And when did Jace become such a little man, where's the one year old I met years ago?! Way cute story about the teacher, that'll be one you'll tell for years to come. And you look amazing, of course :) I love the family pics you got done, they turned out so cute!
Love that little soccer man laid out on the floor haha. Maybe that's his good friend, like Wilson on Cast Away. Don't let anything happen to that soccer ball!
Adorable babies you have. In that pic of just her, your little Avery is like a perfect combo of you and JD. So cute.
