Mr. "Efficient" on the open road home to Idaho. He can rock my sunglasses and still look good!
We actually broke up the drive and spent a few days in Vegas with the kids. We stayed at the Red Rock Casino Hotel. It wasn't on the strip which was nice. JD got us a suite, it was SWEET! So mad I didn't get pics of it.... I want to go back there minus the kiddies sometime. ;)

The lobby was decorated so beautiful, got ya in the Christmas spirit!

Jace wanted to be Santa, I think Grandma Wendy may have helped him with the boots and belt! This kid is so creative.

Christmas Day!!!

This is my parents house.... my Dad does such a good job with the Christmas lights every year. He can be seen on the rooftop at 3 am putting these babies up all through the month of November! He definitely earns his name "Griswald!"

Christmas morning seeing what Santa brought them in their stockings!

Jace testing out his new pitching machine... I think Daddy was a little more excited about this than he was!

This is Avery trying to model her ballerina skirt right after getting pelted in the face with a ball from the dang machine... she was not happy, poor girl.

So pretty... much better, thanks Lachelle!

My Mom and all of the sisters went out to lunch and saw "Twilight" afterwards. Can't believe it took me that long to see it!! It did not dissappoint either!

Getting ready to countdown with Carson Daly.... JD looks really into it, huh?! And my poor sister Lana is solo for New Year's Eve... her hubby left to New Orleans to cheer on the Utes at the Sugar Bowl. I was lucky enough to get a New Years kiss from her and JD!! Woo woo

Both sets of parents playing "Rook" at the Grace Highschool alumnies table!! So Glad JD's parents, Don and Wendy, joined us for some late night games!! Love you all!

JD's sis. Rochelle and me with our boys! They are 4 weeks apart and so cute together. I had a lot of fun with you Roch, glad you got to stay a few extra days!

Avery's First Haircut!!
While in town, Aunt Chelle gave Avery her first real haircut. Wish I would have gotten a pic of the back of her hair. It was starting to look like a true mullet!

So pretty... much better, thanks Lachelle!

NFL Playoff Game
We made it home just in time to go to the Cardinals playoff game against the Falcons. It was so fun to see live. The Cardinals won 30 to 24, I've never seen so many people handing out high fives in my life!! Now we take on Carolina on Saturday... Go Cards!!

Yup, I think you win, on most pictures for a post! Ha ha! Love all the pics. I especially love Jace's ghetto Santa outfit! Classic! All the pictures of Brody crack me up! In every single picture, he just looks like he's chillin. And why have you not posted any pictures on Jace's sweet lamp?! That lamp was my favorite! Plus, it was on his Christmas list :) We loved seeing y'all over Christmas!! We miss you already! Hopefully we can come down there for Spring Break...but we'll just have to wait and see, now that I'm only working part time.
Oh, and tell JD that he better step up his game if he wants to be a drummer rockstar! If he can't even pass "Eye of the Tiger" on expert...he better keep practicing! Funny thing about that, is the expert "Eye of the Tiger" is easier than some of the songs on medium! HA HA!
I loved seeing all the pictures! So, here are a couple of comments on the pictures:
- The picture of JD, Avery, and Jace in the sunglasses for the movie is too cute - they are just so big for the kids' faces.
- How old is Brody? It looks like he is crawling in one of the pictures. I thought he was only like 3 months old.
- Cute picture of the Meacham grandkids in the jacuzzi. Cousin sleepovers are pretty crazy :) - we've attempted it a couple times, but never actually followed through with it.
- I know what you mean about mullets. Both Carly and Ellie had some major mullets! So funny to look back on it now. What was I thinking?!
- How many sisters do you have?! I bet that was so fun to go to the movie together. I still haven't seen it, but I plan on it.
Happy New Year Leah!
I thought JD was rocking a coat with a fur collar! I was like, he's cool, but not THAT cool! :) Glad it was only an old lady neck brace! Lol! Looks like you all had a ton of fun!
How fun, looks like you had a great christmas! I love spending time with family! I love Avery's hair cut, it is so blonde too, I love it! Your kids are so cute, they grow so fast! I swear you were just prego with Jace!
Geez Leah, enough pictures don't ya think? It took me like one hour to get through all of them!!! lol!
You guys look like you had so much fun. Doesn't it feel good to be back home??? I'm sooo glad to be home, i love seeing family, but i hate living out of a suitcase for weeks and i was ready to get home and sleep in my nice warm bed! :)
I still can't get over how many sisters you have. I'm glad you went to Twilight! Isn't that movie freaken awesome?! I love it!
Leah,
Thanks so much for writing...I couldn't agree with you more about parenthood...there is just nothing like it. Also thanks for saying Berlin looks half like me:) NOBODY gives me any credit for that little cutie...hahaha! She does look a lot like Michael:)
As for Casey being a good sitter, that is so funny he has always been such a great friend and has always been a great brother to his siblings so that doesn't surprise me one bit.
Looks like you had a wonderful holiday with your family...It was wild seeing a picture of Rochelle...she doesn't know me but Remi and I used to be big fans of hers back when we were in Jr High:) We thought she was the most beautiful highschool girl we knew from HS dance pictures, too funny!
I just had to laugh when I saw the pic of Avery after getting pelted with the ball, she has such attitude, I love it!
Missed seeing you all at Christmas, hopefully we will get to see you soon! Love ya!
hey! I saw your blog on here and had to double check to see if it was you! How have you been? Your kids are so cute! You have a very beautiful family. Talk to you later!!
Love all of them! It was so fun to see you. I am so glad I get to catch up on the blog. The best one was Aves in her tutu after being hit with a wiffle ball from the pitching machine. I always felt I was Marsha on that Brady Bunch episode when she gets hit in the nose with a football..oh my nose! growing up with a house full of boys. Aves I feel ya!!!
Thanks for the advice! Are you going to do facebook?
Looks like you guys had a great Christmas! All those pictures are so stinkin' cute! I love looking at lots of pictures...they are worth a thousand words!! Take care!
