Where do I start?? How in the world do I have a 7 year old? I honestly can't believe I 've been a Mother that long. I remember so vividly being in the hospital, anticipating Jace's arrival. It was such a wonderful experience. When they put that 8lb. 7oz. baby on my stomach I was in awe at this most beautiful precious child in my arms. He was MINE, and I couldn't believe it. It was hard being a first time Mom. Even though I thought it would be a piece of cake since I felt like a full time babysitter to my younger siblings, I had a LOT to learn! He was a colicky baby and cried NONSTOP it felt like. Jace and I were able to spend so much time together. JD and I lived in St. George and had NO family around to help out so Jace was pretty much glued to my side. I was able to take him to work with me for the first 10 months of his life and then we moved and JD started doing the alarm thing. Thus beginning my life as a stay at home mom! Jace was my little buddy. I loved kissing those round cheeks and cuddling up to read him a book while he sat and played with my hair. Oh how he LOVED to play with my hair. It used to bother me when I would hold him and if I had my hair in a pony tail he'd try and pull it out so he could play with it! It's funny how at the time his obsession with my hair bothered me, then when he stopped doing it I realized he was growing up and moving on and it made me terribly sad. I do remember trying to get him to sleep through the night in his crib when he was about 18 mo. and I threw in some hair extensions and that pacified him!! Haha! Now my sweet boy is growing up so fast. He is the most awesome big brother. I am thankful that they have him to look up to. Jace is "nails" or "money" as JD would say. He used to be very chill but lately is quite rowdy and such a busy body. I think that's just "boys." I'm still getting used to this! He's really fun to be around and he can hang with the big boys and seems to fit in just fine. I love my boy and am so proud of him and the person he is becoming.

Although this picture is a year old, I had to put it here. I love it. Mr GQ for sure! My friend Jessica took this along with a bunch more that one day I swear I will post!
So for Jace's birthday I decided that I would throw him a little pool party. Even though I was adamant about only letting my kids have a big party every OTHER year I couldn't resist now that we have the space to do so. Plus JD had to leave for Oklahoma the next day so we wanted to have some fun before he left. Jace invited some of his school buddies, family friends, and neighbors too. We had fun grilling hot dogs, splashing in the pool, and enjoying some cake! Here are the pics from the big day.......
Jace cracks me up... you will see him in 90% of my pictures doing some funny face or sticking out his tongue with his rock out or peace sign hand symbols!
The "supervisor"
Jace and Stryder in the "bubble ball."
NOTHING is better than a Costco cake... FACT!
Posing with some of the crew
Avery and BFF Eden
And of course we finish the party off with some good ol' fashion wresting on the tramp!
Happy Birthday Jacer!!
